Done w/ Food
Alright!! Now if you read “Stung by Stang”, you know what a fail that was. I was trying to recover from that little episode by participating in Baltimore Restaurant Week. Finally, if you’re a broke college student like me…or just broke, you can enjoy a 3-4 course meal for as low as $30 at some of the best restaurants in Baltimore. Here are some of the restaurants that participated: Alchemy, Barcocina, Bo Brooks, City Café, Cava Mezze (which has great brunches…Nutella waffles…need I say more?), Sotto Sopra (one of my personal favorites), and more! Here’s why I’m pissed; Baltimore Restaurant Week was January 22nd-31st. Guess what was happening during that time??? That’s right! Snowmaggedon, or you might know it as the Jonas Blizzard. People were officially safe to leave the house on Wednesday, January 27th. I was in the house for FIVE DAYS! I don’t think anyone was thinking about Baltimore Restaurant Week (sorry, not sorry). Then….where are we parking?! It took Baltimore City a week after the snow to finally clean most of the streets. Here’s the silver lining though…I was snowed in at Mount Vernon. City Café was walking distance from where I was snowed in. I got so tired of being stuck indoors, that I conveniently met Sarah (yea…Sunday’s with Sarah, Sarah) and another friend at City Café during the blizzard. I didn’t get a chance to do the whole deal thing that they offered for Restaurant Week, but I got a pretty decent lamb burger and this DELICIOUS ginger and lime drink (which is the featured image above). So…I’m pretty much done with food. I actually demand a redo of Restaurant Week!
